RUSSIAN CULTURAL FRIDAYS: THE BALLETS RUSSES

Russian Cultural Fridays invites us once again to deepen our knowledge of the very rich russian culture.  On may 16th: The Ballets Russes !

Russian Cultural Fridays

The Ballets Russes was a ballet company established in 1909 by the Russian impresario Serge BalletsRussesDiaghilev in Paris in order to feature high standards of Russian art, music, ballet, opera at that time. Marius Petipa, Michel Fokine, Bronislava Nijinska, Leonide Massine, Vaslav Nijinsky, Coco Chanel and George Balanchine are the World-known names nowadays. Diadhilev’s Ballets Russes became one of the most influential ballet companies of the 20th century, in part because of its ground-breaking artistic collaboration among choreographers, composers, artists, fashion designers and dancers.

This event will take place on the  at the premises of Aloft Hotel in Brussels, and it will mark the 100th Anniversary of Ballets Russes’ International success story!

There will be a festive opening with creative presentations, dance performances, burlesque show and more!

From 18.00 till 22.00 the visitors will have a special dinner with a variety of traditional Russian dishes!

From 18.00 till 24.00 the participants  will enjoy music in ‘Russian Style’ with DJ Goldfinger, specially invited from Amsterdam!

Suggested dress code: “Ballets Russes”…and the winner will get a special prize from the organizers!
